OBJECTIVE:
I created a book inspired by Jack Kerouac’s October in the Railroad Earth, capturing the essence of Pomona’s Holt Avenue through photography, storytelling, and design. The project involved walking a 6-mile route, documenting the community, and immersing myself in the aura of the area. I captured over 1,000 photos, interacted with locals, and collected physical ephemera, which I then incorporated into a short story/long poem reflecting my experience.
